0.9.6, Snow leopard and further plans…
October 23rd, 2009
First off, i’d like to mention that apparently 0.9.6 works on snow leopard with the stock x11, as confirmed The En Dash in forums, so you might try that out ignoring the xquartz installation step.
I’m aware of the issue with macbooks and pcsx2 and i’ll try to sort it out, but as i don’t have a macbook, but i need someone with a macbook(with leopard) who has enough experience building things on osx so that he can build pcsx2/mac from the repository and i could debug it through…
In other news, i’m soon updating the code to r1888 and starting on the new gui. There’s also work going on with the aligned stack so that it doesn’t require as many hacks to work, and i’ll hopefully be able to pull it from official repository soon.

i don’t have a lot of experience in building things on OSX, but if none other can help you, I think that with few explanations, I can do what you are expected to Debug.
I ‘ve a Macbook White 2.4 GHz Intel and a GMAX3100 under 10.6.1. Currently I can run PCSX2 but the pictures are really bad I can join a screenshot if you want.

Just wanted to say that your continued work on this is very, very much appreciated. I have a Mac Pro and once I upgrade to Snow Leopard I too would be happy to try to help in whatever way I can, although it’ll be a while before I can do any serious Mac programming.

Is there any chance this will ever work on a Power Mac G5?

Good job!
I just wanna know if games could be played correctly in future (with fps around 50-60), or this problem could not be solved. Question 2: does PCSX 2 work with all PS2 games?
Your project is going on and maybe not so far to be finished. Thanks to you also Mac user could play their PS2 games on computer.

Question 3: to run PCSX now we must install X11, could we run it as native in future?

Hi,
I do programming for a living (effectively) and own a 2 year old macbookpro. If you give me detail instructions how to build on osx I can be your test person for this. I pulled the git repo, but the pull gave me some errors. I till tried building ( the files seemed to be there ) but that died in some assembler code ( which is no suprise since apple seems to have changed the asm syntax or something and this often happens with code that uses asm directly ).
