I don't know if this has anything to do with it and I am not very good when it come to programing or reading the language. As soon as I run a iso or rom this appears in the X11 screen. Then the X ZeroGS screen comes up completely white. the x11 screen reads as follows.

ZZogl: creating zerogs
ZZogl: Got Doublebuffered Visual!
ZZogl: glX-Version 1.4
Xlib: extension "XFree86-VidModeExtension" missing on display "/tmp/launch-iM3ApE/:0".
ZZogl: Depth 24
ZZogl: you have Direct Rendering!
ZZogl: Using multitexturing
ZZogl: Maximun texture size is 2048 for Tex_2d and 2048 for Tex_NV
ZZogl: Disabling MRT depth writing
ZZogl: Disabling MRT depth writing

SO what do I need to do to fix the problem any help would be greatly a appreciated.

Well, I'm running Snow Leopard so from a quick skim read I'm getting the feeling this aint gonna work for me, but, still, bloomin good job zedr0n! I mean, I didn't really have trouble with using the terminal app, but this is another great step for the Mac version, for all the people who don't know how terminal works.

Can't wait for the day pcsx 2 mac is just a single app with no additional downloads and setting up, so exciting :)

Oh, and nice icon... It's shiny :P

Hi there

It's my first experience with pcsx2, I don't know it it's the right place to ask these questions , please apologize if it'sout of topic )
I'm running a macboorkpro intel Core 2 Duo , 2.8GHz , NVIDIA GeForce 9600M GT graphical card on 10.5.8.
I downloaded the 3 objects , and installed succesfully X11 , nvidia cg's package and pcsx2 .
Launched pcsx2 , configured the bios , launched a Jap one ( what an emotion to see PS2's browser , I ll never thank u enough for that ...) then made a try on 2 old iso , mushihimesama and espgaluda ( from my personal PS2 import collection should I mention ...) wich I know are working extremly well from what I saw in many videos examples .The games are launching properly but after that it s another story .If mushi runs correctly at the begginning, immediatly after starting to play the ips falls drasticly ( from a slow 40- 30 when screen is empy to a 15-10 when screen is full of ennemy explosions jewels etc ..) , not mentionning graphical glitches , for esp it s even worse , the "loading" screen launches at 300 ips and more and falls to ..1 ips as soon as the first screen appears ( no graphical glitches here though).
I tried a lot of different setting via configuration menus via , tried with different bios , uninstalled reinstalled , it remains the same .
Now I m quite sure my system can handle this , it should work properly doing some config changes I suppose , the all thing just works if I may say like radiant silvergun emulated on MAME ...)

Can anyone help me ...?
Was ì supposed to do something else than cliking on install during the installation of the 3 packages ?
In the config->configure menu ->Graphics i can only access to ZZ Ogl , I thought I was supposed to chosse ZeroGs but maybe it s just the new name for it ?
Is there a way for me to configure Cg out of command lines ( I m completely new to commad .. ) , is there a "preferences panel" for it or something like that ( I d like to switch from directx9 10 etc ) ?
Once again , I m new to it , I don t quite get what x11 is and CG I may miss some library or others to make it run properly and ( many ) advices on how to configure it correctly
From what I saw on the web , people with systems with lower specs and identical psx2 configuration have my 2 guinea pigs games running extremly well .

I can give my msn if anyone would want to help me solve the problem , thank you in advance and once again Bravo for that impressive piece of work ( i m french sorry fort the english mistakes ...).

no, the only thing it basically does is just call '/usr/x11/bin/xterm -e pcsx2' so with a xquartz install on SL if it doesn't override the /usr/x11 directory, then it would still call old x11.

I don't have a ready install of SL available so unfortunately can't really test it. I'll get a distro in a couple of days and test in vmware, which at least will tell me if dependencies are fine.

Like I said, I didn't test it. Maybe the app links with Xquartz frameworks or something? (zedr0n can probably shed some light on that). If so, that should be fixable with 'otool' and 'install_name_tool' or a recompile. But it's safer to wait for an xquartz final.
zedr0n: if you need any help with this stuff, I'd be happy to help. Got a bit of experience messing around with libs and such :-D

i'm not sure it even works on snow leopard even with new xquartz.

The app has been packed into an application bundle, so the path to the binaries is now /Applications/pcsx2.app/Contents/Resources/pcsx2
