Thanks Zedr0n. The new kingdom hearts game won't display, even with AA turned off. I can move the cursor around and select menu items in the game's opening screen (I know it's there, but the screen itself is still totally black).

A discussion forum would be amazing.

Thank you again for all of your hard work. Things are really coming together.

Dame, Shadow of Colossus isn't on the compatibility list for the official pcsx2 even, i think. The problem of being blown up is the same which would happen in kingdom hearts - there's smth wrong with antialiasing, try switching it off and see if it helps

Wow, thank you Jholar, I feel like an idiot, lol. So problem solved on the sound thing.

Has anyone tried kingdom hearts: chain of memories? I get the opening music, but the screen stays black the entire time.

@Dame

Look at the plug-in that the sound function is using: If its SPU2null 0.7.1 then you will need to change it using the drop-down list. The null plug-in obviously plays no sound and it only a proxy; it's probably there for debugging/stability issues. (Getting rid of all the bugs in the graphics before compounding them by bugs in the sound)

No stability promises, but you should have another option in the drop down menu if you installed with the xmas package

Finally got games to render. Two problems I'm now having:

1) Shadow of the Colossus runs, but it only shows the top left quadrant of the screen, blown up to the size of the whole screen, and I get a repeating error message of "dest alpha blending! manipulate alpha here" any idea what's up with that?

2) Regardless of which game I launch, there is no sound. When I click on the configure button for the sound plugin, I get a popup that says "nothing to be configured". Any idea how to fix this? I'd love to play through FFX and it renders beautifully, but I can't get through it without sound.

@aaoh

For instant gratification you can change the file from a .fx to a .txt in the finder, open it in text edit then find and change the appropiate line. Then change the file back to a .fx (you may have to do it from the 'get info' box) and it should work fine

And to boot: Always keep a back-up of the original file just in case

Hi Zero, thanks for the reply earlier on, now my pcsx.bin works fine.

Now I'm having yet, another problem which is regarding the ZeroGS Error, similiar to username Dame (above post). I tried following the guide at http://quant0r.com/trac/trac.cgi/wiki/runningPcsx2 to change the lines at ps2hw.fx shader , but I have no knowledge on editing in terminal. Is it possible you could attach the file of the changed lines in your site?

Thanks again.
